# Manchester United: Fans react to Bruno Fernandes’ remarks about value

**Bruno Fernandes may have only been at Manchester United a couple of months, however it seems he can not do any wrong as his latest remarks about value appears to have a number of the club’s faithful gushing over the Portuguese star.**

Of course, since being brought to Old Trafford for a [reported](https://www.record.pt/internacional/paises/inglaterra/detalhe/bruno-fernandes-e-a-polemica-com-guardiola-devia-ter-ficado-calado-e-ele-falava-sozinho?ref=Detalhe_Relacionadas) fee of €55m that could rise to €80m depending on add-ons (£49.3m to £71.7m), he looks to have settled into life in the Premier League with two goals and three assists in his five appearances, earning a match average rating of 7.82 (as per [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/123761/Show/Bruno-Fernandes)).

[Utdreport](https://twitter.com/utdreport/status/1243502461752676355) relayed on Twitter comments the playmaker made to [Canal 11](https://www.canal11.pt/) (via [Record](https://www.record.pt/internacional/paises/inglaterra/detalhe/bruno-fernandes-e-a-polemica-com-guardiola-devia-ter-ficado-calado-e-ele-falava-sozinho?ref=Detalhe_Relacionadas)), in which the 25-year-old appeared to hint that he knew that he had to deliver and potentially big as he compared himself to others who he knew had been purchased at similar figures and had gone on to win awards.

He [said](https://www.record.pt/internacional/paises/inglaterra/detalhe/bruno-fernandes-e-a-polemica-com-guardiola-devia-ter-ficado-calado-e-ele-falava-sozinho?ref=Detalhe_Relacionadas): “Never have the values been as high as now. I think it is an exaggeration.

“My transfer, the values that were, bonuses and what may yet be, the amount that was paid for me was very high. Some players who were bought for this amount some time ago were Ballon d’Or \[winners\].”

Indeed, those comments have delighted a number of the Manchester United faithful, with some suggesting that Fernandes has an ‘elite mentality’ whilst others commented on the transfer fee itself and believed they had picked up a ‘bargain’ rather than having perhaps spent over-the-odds for him.

Here are just a few of their responses…
