# Manchester United: Fans react to rumours club may offload Nemanja Matic for bargain price

**After his side lost at Old Trafford [2-1 on Wednesday night](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QC0zKfnD-ec&feature=onebox), former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly set to make a move for long-time favourite Nemanja Matic in January – with the club rumoured to be looking to offload him for a potential £15m, according to [Bleacher Report](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2864627-br-football-ranks-5-premier-league-transfers-looking-likely-in-january).**

Mourinho and Matic have been flocking from club to club together over the past few seasons, firstly linking up at [Chelsea](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/25743128) to devastating effect for a while before the Portuguese boss moved on to Manchester.

In response, the Serbian [followed him](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40781406) a year later and became a first-team favourite under Mourinho for two seasons – making [64 Premier League appearances](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/38128/History/Nemanja-Matic) in two years for United.

Now, a [tweet from Utd Report](https://twitter.com/utdreport/status/1202907195731566593) circulated the possibility that Matic could follow in the former Porto boss’ footsteps again if the club accept a £15m bid from Spurs in January.

As a result, fans have responded hilariously to the rumours that Mourinho could be reclaiming his prodigal son.

Here’s what they had to say on Twitter:
