# Manchester United: Fans react to injury update ahead of EFL Cup clash vs. Rochdale

**Manchester United take on neighbours Rochdale in the Carabao Cup later and the club have provided an injury update for supporters ahead of that clash.**

Midfielder Paul Pogba, who has missed the Red Devils’ last three games against Leicester, Astana and West Ham, could feature in some capacity against the League One side, with 17-year-old Mason Greenwood likely to start up-front in the absence of both Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford – both of whom are sidelined with injury (via [manutd.com](https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/team-news-for-manchester-united-v-rochdale-in-the-carabao-cup?utm_campaign=ManUtd&utm_medium=post&utm_source=twitter)).

Elsewhere, left-back Luke Shaw remains ruled out with a [hamstring complaint](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/man-utd-injury-update-shaw-16838055), while Eric Baily is also out with a knee injury. Although Wednesday’s match is against lower league opposition and in the EFL Cup, a win is a necessity considering the poor performance the Red Devils put in against West Ham at the weekend.

Here’s how fans reacted to the club’s injury update on Twitter:
