# Manchester United: Fans react to Jesse Lingard transfer news

**Manchester United player Jesse Lingard looks to be struggling for game time at the club, as the last time he played a fixture was in the quarter-finals of the Europa League last season back in August, where he only played for seven minutes against Copenhagen, per [Transfermarkt.](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/141660)**

In the last twelve fixtures in the Premier League last season, he only featured twice, for a total of 41 minutes, per [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/141660), and clearly Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not rate him at the moment. This has seen him linked with a move to a fellow Premier League side as Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in the Englishman.

However, the only way that a transfer would happen, per the [Times](https://www.thetimes.co.uk/), via [utdreport](https://twitter.com/utdreport/status/1307750989521399809?s=20), is if Dele Alli leaves Spurs. This is due to the fact that the North London side see Lingard as a potential replacement for Alli. Some supporters of United seem to favour such a transfer, whilst others seem to rate Alli highly as they are recommending a swap deal between the two would be a good idea.

Throughout his career, [27](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/141660) year-old Lingard has managed [318](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/141660) appearances, scoring [63](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/141660) goals and picking up [49](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/141660) assists, however with him not being favoured currently at United, a move might benefit all parties.

Here is what fans said following the news:
