# Manchester United: Fans react to Joao Felix contact

**Manchester United have made contact over a possible move for Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix.**

That’s according to Spanish newspaper [AS](https://as.com/), relayed by [Sports Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/man-united-already-asked-about-la-liga-man-players-camp-studying-ways-to-convince-club-for-transfer/), and, as to be expected, the update has had a number of United fans talking on social media.

The 22-year-old is valued at £63m by [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joao-felix/profil/spieler/462250) and is extremely versatile, [capable](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joao-felix/leistungsdaten/spieler/462250) of playing anywhere in attack. He’s scored [20](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joao-felix/leistungsdaten/spieler/462250) times in [88](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joao-felix/leistungsdaten/spieler/462250) appearances for Madrid after joining back in 2019 from Benfica in a deal worth [£114m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joao-felix/transfers/spieler/462250).

It now seems as if the Portugal international is on the club’s radar, with [Sports Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/man-united-already-asked-about-la-liga-man-players-camp-studying-ways-to-convince-club-for-transfer/) relaying claims suggesting United have ‘already asked for’ the forward.

Fellow Premier League sides Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United are also name-checked with an interest, with Felix’s contract not up until [2026](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joao-felix/profil/spieler/462250).

A move away from Atletico may materialise, though, with the [report](https://sportwitness.co.uk/man-united-already-asked-about-la-liga-man-players-camp-studying-ways-to-convince-club-for-transfer/) revealing Felix’s representatives are now ‘studying various alternatives to try to convince’ Atletico to let the forward depart.
