# Manchester United: Fans react to Jose Mourinho video from Juventus game

**It’s been nearly 12 months since Jose Mourinho was [sacked by Manchester United](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46603018) after a crushing 3-1 defeat away to rivals Liverpool.**

The Portuguese spent two-and-a-half years as United manager, winning [three trophies](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jose-mourinho/erfolge/trainer/781) in that time.

They all came in his first season, as Mourinho guided the club to success in the Community Shield, EFL Cup and Europa League.

Everything came crashing down in season three, after failing to sign a centre-back, United’s form fell apart.

There were still incredible victories in there as well, few more so than claiming all three points away at Juventus.

Thanks to his ties with rivals Inter Milan, Mourinho was on the receiving end of some insults from the Italian champions’ fans, so when the whistle went, and the win was secured, he gave a little back; cupping his ear to the capacity crowd.

It’s been a year since that famous moment, here’s how some United fans reacted to it:

> Classic Jose. He’s great as a pundit, but hopefully he’ll be back coaching soon. [pic.twitter.com/lnvORUiooR](https://t.co/lnvORUiooR)

> Come on stop being so precious that’s hardly offensive! I remember him sprinting down the touch line & knee sliding in front of United’s fans when Porto knocked us out CL! He ended up becoming our manager a few years down the line 🙄
