# Manchester United: Fans react to Pogba and his comments following loss to Arsenal

**Manchester United [lost](https://www.sofascore.com/arsenal-manchester-united/KR) at Old Trafford in the Premier League to rivals Arsenal on the weekend. Paul Pogba’s [error](https://www.sofascore.com/arsenal-manchester-united/KR) led to the Gunners’ goal and many members of the fanbase are not happy following his comments about this goal after the game.**

It was a tight game and only [one goal](https://www.sofascore.com/arsenal-manchester-united/KR) separated the sides. In the second half, the Frenchman made a poor tackle on defender Hector Bellerin and the North London side were rightfully given a [penalty.](https://www.sofascore.com/arsenal-manchester-united/KR)

Speaking about giving away the penalty, the midfielder said to the [BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news), via [@utdreport](https://twitter.com/utdreport/status/1322974733445615618?s=20): “Maybe I was a bit out of breath from running before and it made me do this mistake.”

It certainly wasn’t one of Pogba’s best matches as he picked up a 5.8 rating ([SofaScore](https://www.sofascore.com/arsenal-manchester-united/KR)). He made only one key pass, failed to have a single shot on target and won only one four of his 15 ground duels. This performance resulted in one fan saying: ‘His mistakes are ALWAYS costing the team dearly’.

### Here is what many United fans have been saying following the comments from Pogba:

> I’m so bored of these pathetic performances from Pogba. He’s given away 3 penalties already this season which is probably equal to the number of new hairstyles he’s modelled on social media.

> [@paulpogba](https://twitter.com/paulpogba?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) has given me little hope. Can’t count the number of times he was dispossessed/ having poor games. Plus all the shenanigans and flirting with Real Madrid. Time to move him on and start [@Donny\_beek6](https://twitter.com/Donny_beek6?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw).

> Not the first time. Happened more than once. No more excuses. He’s been awful this season and injured last season.

> 😂 rookie excuse, always performing well in his national team, but out of breath playing for his club

> Drop him now. Was awful today, even before this mistake. Lost the ball way too much, fouled every player on the pitch and offered nothing going forward or backwards.
