# Manchester United: Fans react to Solskjaer’s injury update on Marcus Rashford

**Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford limped off with a groin injury during the club’s 2-0 defeat to West Ham on Sunday.**

The 21-year-old, who is now one of only two established senior strikers at Old Trafford following the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan this summer, could face a substantial amount of time on the sidelines, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claiming the forward “could be out for a while” (via the [Daily Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1181288/man-utd-solskjaer-marcus-rashford-injury-update-latest)).

After back-to-back wins this week – firstly in the Premier League against Leicester City and then in their Europa League group stage opener against Astana – United fell to a disappointing defeat against Manuel Pellegrini’s men on Sunday afternoon, thanks to two well-taken goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell.

Alongside the result, one of the biggest blows will be the fact that the England striker could now face a lengthy period of time in the treatment room, joining fellow striker Anthony Martial, who has missed the clubs last three league games with a [thigh complaint](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/manchester-united/story/3941323/pogbamartial-add-to-man-united-injury-crisis).

Here’s how some disgruntled United fans reacted to Solskjaer’s injury update on Rashford after the game:

> It’s Ole’s fault. He should’ve rested his golden boy, he’s had 1 good game in 8 months and played 90 minutes in almost every game.

***United fans, do you think Ole will start Greenwood if Martial isn’t fit enough for a return, or play Lingard up-front? Let us know in the comments!***
