# Manchester United: Fans react with hilarity to news on Marcus Rashford

**Manchester United fans were reacting with hilarity to news surrounding Marcus Rashford and a potential move to Barcelona.**

According to [Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20191012/47906000354/el-barca-ira-a-por-un-9-de-maximo-nivel.html?fbclid=IwAR1taBbdHrq6SX1P2BdzeJzhxsQGYByhDoCG8EWPiP5xE9yTSKdA6XJ7Qqw), the England international features on a list of four strikers seen as a potential replacement for Luis Suarez, who turns 33-years-old in January.

It is also being reported by the [Spanish publication](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20191012/47906000354/el-barca-ira-a-por-un-9-de-maximo-nivel.html?fbclid=IwAR1taBbdHrq6SX1P2BdzeJzhxsQGYByhDoCG8EWPiP5xE9yTSKdA6XJ7Qqw) that the La Liga giants prefer the Englishman to Roberto Firmino.

Rashford has enjoyed a less than stellar start to the campaign at Old Trafford. After scoring two goals in the 4-0 win over Chelsea on the opening day of the season, the 21-year-old has scored just one goal in his last nine games [(via Transfermarkt)](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-rashford/leistungsdaten/spieler/258923).

After a less than spectacular opening to the season, it’s fair to say fans were in a laughing mood after the emergence of reports linking Rashford with a move to the Nou Camp as they took to Twitter to react.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Old Trafford faithful:
