# Manchester United: Fans want Emiliano Buendia to make Old Trafford switch

**Emiliano Buendia has been a mainstay in Norwich City’s climb to the Premier League, playing a pivotal role in midfield to drag the Canaries back to the big time, but given their current status as relegation battlers, would he be willing to make a Manchester United switch to preserve his own top flight status?**

Responding to a [tweet from United Xtra](https://twitter.com/juwongowild/status/1212728954479685632?s=21), Red Devils supporters were encouraged to discuss the 23-year-old star and come to a conclusion as to why they would have him at Old Trafford – with the majority of supporters hoping he eventually makes the switch given his obvious quality.

Buendia, who scored [eight goals and assisted 12 others](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/260592/History/Emiliano-Buend%C3%ADa) last season in Norwich’s promotion bid, has been on his way to competing with those numbers this campaign – bagging [seven assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/260592/History/Emiliano-Buend%C3%ADa) already this season. He was previously [linked](https://theathletic.com/1452728/2019/12/31/what-to-expect-from-norwich-city-in-the-january-transfer-window/) with a move to Liverpool, who have proven that picking up players from relegated sides (which the Canaries could be this summer) can help improve a team at the top level, with the likes of Andrew Robertson, Gini Wijnaldum and Xherdan Shaqiri.

As per [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/260592/Show/Emiliano-Buend%C3%ADa), the Argentine has made more key passes per game (3) than anyone in the United squad, while his 3.2 dribbles far outmatch any of their players too.
