# Manchester United: Fans worry about Fernandes transfer after Maddison link

**According to a report from the [Manchester Evening News](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-transfer-news-latest-17560277), Leicester City midfielder James Maddison has been made a[‘prime attacking target’](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-transfer-news-latest-17560277) for the summer transfer window – prompting some Man United supporters to worry over potentially missing out on rumoured target Bruno Fernandes.**

Fernandes, who has amassed a brilliant 15 goals and 13 assists across all competitions this season in Portugal for Sporting Lisbon ([tTansfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bruno-fernandes/leistungsdaten/spieler/240306)), has been at the centre of a potential pending move to Old Trafford – with the two clubs reportedly holding ‘face to face’ talks [as per the BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51093854).

However, with this report from the MEN indicating that United will target Maddison for a summer move, supporters have wondered where the club’s priorities truly lie.

When comparing the two midfielders, it appears the Englishman trumps Fernandes in terms of pass accuracy – with Maddison averaging an 82.9% success rate in the Premier League this season, [as per WhoScored.com](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/137015/Show/James-Maddison). However, the Portuguese playmaker has registered [more shots per game](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/123761/Show/Bruno-Fernandes) whilst also netting [eight goals](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/123761/Show/Bruno-Fernandes) and assisting [seven others](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/123761/Show/Bruno-Fernandes) in the league.

As a result, these United supporters fear missing out on the 25-year-old Portugal man – here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
