# Manchester United: Islam Slimani transfer rumour has supporters raging over Leicester loanee

**According to a report [from the Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7924563/Manchester-United-make-shock-enquiry-Leicester-flop-Islam-Slimani.html), Manchester United have made an enquiry over signing Leicester City flop Islam Slimani on loan in the wake of Marcus Rashford’s injury – but these Red Devils supporters aren’t impressed to say the least.**

Slimani, who scored just eight Premier League goals in 35 outings for the Foxes ([Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7924563/Manchester-United-make-shock-enquiry-Leicester-flop-Islam-Slimani.html)), is currently out on loan at Ligue 1 outfit Monaco where he has seemingly turned his form around with a [seven-goal](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/108055/Show/Islam-Slimani) haul in just [11](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/108055/Show/Islam-Slimani) league starts.

However, despite his resurgence in France, supporters are not convinced that Slimani is the ideal replacement for the [injured](https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-soccer-england-mun-rashford/injured-rashford-says-hell-be-back-before-end-of-season-idUKKBN1ZL2EM) Rashford. Compared to the Englishman, while even taking into account his lack of goals, Slimani still doesn’t measure up in terms of shots per game ([3.1](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/108055/Show/Islam-Slimani)) or pass completion ([67.7%](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/108055/Show/Islam-Slimani)) – even despite winning more aerial duels ([2.7](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/108055/Show/Islam-Slimani)), as per [WhoScored.com](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/108055/Show/Islam-Slimani). The Algerian, according to [SofaScore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/islam-slimani/238708), has also given the ball away 14.4 times per game on average this season.

As a result, supporters feel that they can definitely pursue much better alternatives – find all of their best comments from Twitter down below.
