# Manchester United: Jude Bellingham hesitancy over Red Devils transfer has supporters completely bemused

**According to quotes from journalist Duncan Castles on the [Transfer Window Podcast via MU Live](https://tribuna.com/en/manutd/news/3554115/), Birmingham City youngster Jude Bellingham and his father are [‘yet to be convinced’](https://tribuna.com/en/manutd/news/3554115/) over a move to the Red Devils, prompting complete bemusement from some United supporters.**

Bellingham, who has been dubbed an [exciting prospect](https://tasteoffootball.com/2020/01/21/jude-bellingham-the-16-year-old-wonderkid-starring-for-birmingham-city/) following his leap on to the scene with Birmingham, is reportedly also being targeted by the likes of Aston Villa, Leicester, Chelsea and Everton – if this report from Castles is to be believed.

The 16-year-old, when compared to current United youth midfielder Tahith Chong’s Europa League numbers, averages more dribbles per game in the Championship ([1](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/379868/Show/Jude-Bellingham)) and a higher rate of shots per game ([1.1](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/379868/Show/Jude-Bellingham)) – perhaps hinting that he could be a menacing back up to the Red Devils first team in future – even if Chong averages a superior pass success rate ([82.4%](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/365244/Show/Tahith-Chong)), as per [WhoScored.com](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/379868/Show/Jude-Bellingham).

Indeed, this appears to be a purchase for future potential, but that hasn’t stopped supporters from lambasting the rumoured fact that Bellingham is hesitant to sign at Old Trafford – find all of their best comments down below.

> Are they for real. We’re the perfect club. We give youth opportunities better than any other club. We’re building a young exciting team & signing Bellingham he’d be a massive part of that. I’d be gutted of we didn’t sign him

> We’re finished. Completely finished. Can’t attract players from Birmingham but certain people believe we can get the likes of Sancho while we have Ole and Woodward in charge
