He plies his trade with Swedish second-tier side Brommapojkarna and is [primarily](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lucas-bergvall/profil/spieler/866246) a central midfielder.

The teenager, who has recently [captained](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lucas-bergvall/leistungsdaten/spieler/866246) his country at U16 level, scored his first [senior goal](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lucas-bergvall/leistungsdaten/spieler/866246) on Tuesday evening. Labelled an[“exceptional talent”](https://sportwitness.co.uk/manchester-united-chasing-youngster-super-talent-already-visited-red-devils/) by Brommapojkarna sporting director Peter Kisfaludy, Bergvall visited United’s Carrington training facility last year, and it looks as if the Red Devils are still keen on his services.

### The Latest: United interest

[Sports Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/manchester-united-chasing-youngster-super-talent-already-visited-red-devils/) relayed an update from [FotbollDirekt](https://fotbolldirekt.se/2022/10/05/lucas-bergvall-slog-till-med-sitt-forsta-mal-i-superettan) on Wednesday regarding Bergvall.

### The Verdict: One to watch?

It looks as if Bergvall may well be a future star, so it could be wise for United officials to look to secure a move as soon as possible.

The Red Devils have missed out on youngsters such as [Jude Bellingham](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/4066512/jude-bellingham-to-dortmund-manchester-united-set-to-lose-out-on-teen-sources) and [Erling Haaland](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-erling-haaland-transfer-23521003) in the past, with the pair going on to become names known around the world.

Therefore, United chiefs won’t want to look back in years to come with another ‘what could have been’ scenario when it comes to Bergvall, so it could be one to watch heading into 2023.
