# Manchester United: Many fans fearing the worst at the weekend after injury blows

**Manchester United will be without the services of David de Gea for Sunday’s Premier League clash at home to Liverpool, with [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/11837182/paul-pogba-and-david-de-gea-out-of-man-utd-vs-liverpool) confirming that the Spaniard has been ruled out through injury.**

United Xtra on Twitter ([@utdxtra](https://twitter.com/utdxtra/status/1184516818943299585?s=21)) shared the injury news to its followers, with Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard also set to miss the weekend’s clash, as per [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/11837182/paul-pogba-and-david-de-gea-out-of-man-utd-vs-liverpool).

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team go into the match a full [15 points and 11 places behind Liverpool](https://www.skysports.com/premier-league-table) in the Premier League table, with United winning just [one of their last seven league matches](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/manchester-united/spielplan/verein/985/plus/0?saison_id=2019) while the Merseysiders have a [100% record in the division](https://www.skysports.com/premier-league-table) so far this term.

De Gea’s absence in particular may come as a significant blow, with the goalkeeper boasting a good record against Liverpool – having faced them 19 times as a United player, he has kept six clean sheets in those games, including four in his last seven league matches against Jurgen Klopp’s men. \[[via TransferMarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/david-de-gea/bilanzdetails/spieler/59377/gegner/31)\]
