# Manchester United: Marcus Rashford landmark warrants huge praise from supporters

**After overcoming Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday and ultimately clinching the derby spoils to see out a [memorable decade](https://www.thesportsman.com/features/how-the-manchester-derby-defined-the-decade) of encounters, on fire front man Marcus Rashford hit a brilliant personal landmark as part of his resurgence to top form.**

According to a [tweet from Utd Report](https://twitter.com/utdreport/status/1203798455841443840?s=21), the Englishman has already equalled his tally of 10 goals for the whole of last season in 945 minutes less – with his opening penalty goal against City ensuring that he is more than likely to better his statistics from last season by some distance.

It’s been a brilliant month for Rashford, with the 22-year-old finding the net against Tottenham, Partizan Belgrade, Brighton and Sheffield United as well as against their [bitter rivals at the weekend](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E__EUarCVB4&feature=onebox).

As a result, upon seeing the news that Rashford has already equalled last season’s tally in December, supporters flocked to praise the youngster on Twitter for his impact – here’s what they had to say.
