# Manchester United: Mohammed Kudus keen on move

**Ajax forward Mohammed Kudus is interested in moving to [Manchester United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/manchester-united-news/) to reunite with [Erik ten Hag](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tag/erik-ten-hag/), according to [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-mohammed-kudus-tells-friends-he-wants-erik-ten-hag-reunion-after-man-united-contact-made-over-48m-deal/).**

### The Lowdown: Kudus at Ajax

Kudus has turned out in a [range](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohammed-kudus/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/543499) of positions throughout his career from a central midfielder to a centre-forward. The 22-year-old has enjoyed his best season in front of goal in 2022/23, though, scoring [11](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohammed-kudus/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/543499) times in all competitions.

He has experience of playing under Ten Hag, making [42](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohammed-kudus/leistungsdatentrainer/spieler/543499/plus/0/verein/610/trainer_id/3816) appearances under the Dutchman across two seasons, contributing to [nine](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohammed-kudus/leistungsdatentrainer/spieler/543499/plus/0/verein/610/trainer_id/3816) goals, and it looks as if a reunion between the pair could be on the cards.

### The Verdict: Shrewd move

Ten Hag brought in Lisandro Martinez and Antony from his former employers over the summer, with the pair both contributing to United’s successes so far.

Kudus, who journalist John Bennet has [described](https://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/SportsArchive/What-a-talent-BBC-s-John-Bennet-praises-Mohammed-Kudus-for-performance-against-Nigeria-1500065) as a ‘new star’ for Ghana, could be another smart signing from the Dutch giants. He would provide Ten Hag with a versatile option in midfield and attack, two positions where United have found themselves short during 2023.

Christian Eriksen’s injury and Casmeiro’s suspension last month left Ten Hag with limited midfield options, while Anthony Martial has also been out for large parts of the campaign and Wout Weghorst is only on loan, making a move for Kudus one to watch heading into the summer.
