The Lowdown: Sulemana profiled
Sulemana is just 20 years of age and is primarily a left-winger but can play anywhere across the front three.
Talent scout Jack Kulig has described the forward as an ‘enormous talent’, and Aarons has backed United to monitor Sulemana over the coming months.
The Latest: Aarons’ comments
Aarons was asked by GiveMeSport about United possibly looking at Sulemana during the World Cup. The journalist believes that the Premier League giants may scout the attacker, labelling him a ‘very exciting’ player.
When asked if he believes the Red Devils will be on the case, Aarons replied: “I really do actually, this guy’s very exciting. He was in Denmark until this season, and he moved to Rennes in the summer in a Danish record for the league for €20 million. And in France he’s doing very well as well, he’s a very exciting winger.”
The Verdict: Alongside Gakpo?
United are more likely to sign Cody Gakpo in 2023 than Arsenal, according to Dean Jones, so Sulemana could be another potential attacking addition at Old Trafford.
Reinforcements in the final third could be of use in the New Year, especially with Cristiano Ronaldo’s future still up in the air.
Should the 37-year-old move on, as has been rumoured, then signing either or both of Gakpo or Sulemana could be beneficial to Erik ten Hag, so the Ghana international could be a player for the club to track in Qatar.
