Manchester United have placed Norwich City right-back Max Aarons on their transfer shortlist, according to Football Insider.

The Lowdown: Aarons profiled

The 22-year-old has already made 184 senior appearances for the Canaries after progressing through their academy.

The Englishman has lined out 70 times in the Premier League and has been a regular in the Championship during the current campaign as Norwich look for another immediate return to the top flight.

The Adidas-sponsored full-back is under contract at Carrow Road until 2024, and it looks as if United officials are interested in his services.

The Latest: Man United interested in Aarons

Football Insider's Pete O’Rourke shared an update regarding United and Aarons on Monday.

He revealed that the Red Devils are in the market for a right-back and have shortlisted the 22-year-old over a potential move to Old Trafford. The Norwich defender is thought to be valued in the region of £15m.

The Verdict: Shrewd target?

Aarons has an abundance of Premier League experience and is still just 22 years of age, so you’d expect that he still has plenty of time to improve even further on his already impressive game.

Described as ‘outstanding’ by former Norwich manager Daniel Farke, the full-back ranks highly in the Norwich squad for tackles, interceptions and dribbles this season, as per WhoScored.

Therefore, he may well be a smart target for Erik ten Hag, and Aarons could then go on to rival Diogo Dalot for a first-team spot, which may allow United to dispense with Aaron Wan-Bissaka amid reports over a possible exit during the autumn.
