Manchester United continue to try to make some movements in the current transfer window, but it is not going as well as planned as they have had a bid rejected for Benoît Badiashile.
According to Mohamed Bouhafsi and tweeted out by utdreport, AS Monaco have rejected a €25 million (around £22.5 million) offer from United for the centre-back. The Ligue 1 outfit will only let the defender go if United make a crazy bid for him.
The 19 year-old is young, but clearly highly rated by Monaco as he has already made 47 appearances in all competitions for the senior side, including two in the Champions League, per Transfermarkt. He has even managed to score twice and pick up an assist. These performances have clearly not gone unnoticed as he has also featured for the French U19 side 15 times.
United making an offer of over £20 million highlights the potential they believe he has, however they can not afford to get messed about with by Monaco and should not pay an excessive amount for him as he is very young and still has a lot to learn.

Any other club, bid will be accepted.
Cos it’s ManUtd, let’s add €30m extra.
We get taken for a ride.
How do we sort this out?

So that’s not happening then

Our board probably knew it was gonna get rejected so just thought they’d go for it so it looked like they tried😂😭

He can stay. We are not about to make a stupid offer for an unknown player

Don’t pay it them. Clubs are starting to take the absolute mick. City for Torres for 25m, he’d cost United 50-60m easily. Sancho for 120m straight up front is absurd. Maguire for 80m was ridiculous. We need to put our foot down

We should give them what they want as long as it’s not above 50m his worth it
