Wolves are interested in making a move for Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka in January, according to a new transfer rumour.

The Lowdown: Wan-Bissaka not wanted at United

The 25-year-old arrived at Old Trafford with a huge reputation back in 2019, having caught the eye so much during his time at Crystal Palace.

Wan-Bissaka's spell at United has turned into a nightmare, however, and he has completely lost his place in Erik ten Hag's strongest starting lineup to Diogo Dalot.

The Englishman has played just four minutes of Premier League action this season, highlighting his struggles.

The Latest: Wolves eye up move

According to talkSPORT on Twitter, Wolves are interested in signing Wan-Bissaka next month, potentially putting him out of his misery:

"BREAKING: Wolves want to sign Manchester United defender Aaron Wan Bissaka in January. #MUFC are open to offers for Wan Bissaka providing they can source a replacement. - talkSPORT sources understand."

The Verdict: Right time to sell

As time has gone on, Wan-Bissaka has simply shown that he is not good enough for a club of United's stature, too often lacking technical quality in an attacking sense.

Dalot is a noticeable upgrade on him and that won't be changing any time soon, so it makes complete sense for the former Palace man to enjoy a fresh challenge.

Wan-Bissaka can still enjoy a good career - Jamie Carragher once called him 'the best' one-on-one defensive full-back in the world - but a club like Wolves are very much his limit, rather than someone of United's ilk.
