Manchester United: Red Devils make contact over Milan Skriniar move

Manchester United are ‘huge admirers’ of Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar and have contacted his representatives ahead of a potential move to Old Trafford, according to a new update.
The Lowdown: Skriniar excelling at Inter
The 27-year-old is arguably one of the best defenders in Europe currently, producing consistently strong performances for an impressive Inter side.
Skriniar has continued his good form this season, making 11 starts in Serie A and enjoying a 92% pass completion rate, as his stock keeps rising.
The Slovakian has been linked with a move to Tottenham in the recent past but now a new rumour has emerged involving United.
The Latest: United in the mix
According to 90min, United are interested in signing Skriniar and have ‘been in contact’ with his camp regarding a possible move. They are far from alone in expressing their interest, though.
The fellow ‘big six’ clubs Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs are also monitoring the situation, with a potential exit on the cards.
The Verdict: Superb potential signing
Skriniar is a top-quality centre-back who would strengthen any team, so rumours of United being keen on signing him are undoubtedly exciting.
The Slovakia international has been hailed as an ‘incredible player’ by Inter president Steven Zhang and he now has 233 appearances to his name for his current club, highlighting the level he has played at for a sustained period.
With Raphael Varane injury-prone and question marks surrounding Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof, Skriniar could be a new leader of United’s defence for several years, alongside Lisandro Martinez.
