Manchester United target Achraf Hakimi prefers a move to Bayern Munich, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish publication AS claims the Red Devils are chasing Hakimi but he wants to join the German giants.

The Real Madrid star has spent the past couple of seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund and has emerged as one of the highest-rated full-backs in the world.

He has impressed Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane during his loan spell, but remains unconvinced about his future at the Bernabeu, which has left the door open for other European clubs to make their moves.

After arriving at the Signal Iduna Park, Hakimi has established himself as one of Europe's hottest talents. The 21-year-old has played 70 games for the Bundesliga giants, bagging 12 goals and creating 17 assists in all competitions up until now (Transfermarkt).

Moreover, the Moroccan has made 30 appearances in the German top flight this season, scoring 5 goals, providing 10 assists, making 1.9 tackles per game, averaging 1.1 shots, and producing at least 1 key pass on average (via WhoScored).

Understandably, he has been labelled the "next Carvajal" in reference to his esteemed Madrid teammate, but he has made it clear he has no intentions of becoming an understudy.

At the moment, Hakimi would be willing to give up his place in Dortmund's starting lineup.

He would almost certainly be a dream signing to make, but it is unlikely he will be anything more than that this summer.

It is worth pointing out Hakimi wants to stay in Germany, where he has settled in quickly.

The Spanish outlet notes Madrid value him at €60m, which equates to £53m, and Bayern are prepared to offer him up to €7m-a-year.

Indeed, the Norwegian arguably has bigger priorities that urgently need addressing, and Solskjaer may instead turn his attentions elsewhere.
