# Manchester United: Odion Ighalo missed chance vs Chelsea has supporters bemoaning ‘robbed’ moment of glory

**Even during Manchester United’s solid [2-0 win](https://www.sofascore.com/chelsea-manchester-united/mcYb) over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening, some Red Devils supporters have managed to find a moment where they were ‘[robbed](https://twitter.com/PogVlad/status/1229524311226175489)‘ in their victory – with January loan signing Odion Ighalo missing a chance to open his account.**

Ighalo, who signed [on loan](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51335993) from Shanghai Shenhua in the January transfer window, replaced Anthony Martial in added time during the contest – with the Nigerian spurning an opportunity moments later. Chelsea shot-stopper Willy Caballero denied Ighalo’s tame effort on goal which would have opened his account for the Red Devils just a couple of moments into his debut, resulting in supporters bemoaning a ‘[robbed’](https://twitter.com/PogVlad/status/1229524311226175489) moment of glory on a memorable afternoon for the travelling fans.

Goals from Martial and Harry Maguire sealed a vital three points in their chase for Europe, with VAR also controversially ruling out two Chelsea efforts.
