# Manchester United: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s substitution during 5-0 Club Brugge win had supporters fuming

**During Manchester United’s [5-0 dismantling](https://www.sofascore.com/manchester-united-club-brugge/KsNhb) of Belgian outfit Club Brugge in the Europa League Round of 32 second leg on Thursday, many Red Devils supporters weren’t too happy with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s decision to take off Bruno Fernandes for Jesse Lingard.**

Goals from Fernandes, Odion Ighalo, Scott McTominay and Fred (2) rounded off a superb display at Old Trafford, resulting in United sailing through to the last 16 in style with a comfortable 5-0 rout. Mid-way through the second half, after the Portuguese playmaker registered an [8.3 SofaScore rating](https://www.sofascore.com/manchester-united-club-brugge/KsNhb) whilst threatening to score more with [three shots](https://www.sofascore.com/manchester-united-club-brugge/KsNhb) on target, manager Solskjaer opted to bring on Jesse Lingard for the last half an hour.

The Englishman, over this period, did manage to assist Fred for his first goal of the night whilst also completing [100%](https://www.sofascore.com/manchester-united-club-brugge/KsNhb) of his completed dribbles. However, despite his eventual contribution, many Red Devils supporters fumed over the decision to bring him on – find all of their best comments down below.
