There is talk, and a lot of it, that none other than Cristiano Ronaldo could be on his way back to his beloved Manchester United in a incredible turn of events.

[The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-news-live-manchester-united-6127410) are reporting that Louis Van Gaal is preparing an audacious bid for the Portuguese, who left Old Trafford six years ago now.

A return for the three time Balon’Dor winner would undoubtedly go down as the most sensational transfer of all time, Ronaldo became a cult hero under Alex Ferguson, scoring 117 goals.

The rumour of a Ronaldo return has been rife almost every summer since he left, but this time round there is extra traction coming off the back of reports there has been a[feud between himself and the new manager at the Bernabeu, Rafa Benetiz](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/frustrated-cristiano-ronaldo-furious-rafa-6121542).

**United Fans what do you think of this? Will it happen? Would you welcome him back? Let us know in the comments!**
