# Manchester United: Fans react to Paul Pogba’s admission that Liverpool would be deserved champions

**Speaking to [ESPN](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/manchester-united/story/4059838/man-uniteds-pogba-praises-liverpool-but-we-dont-want-them-to-win-the-title), polarising Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has since come out to praise arch-rivals Liverpool for their remarkable Premier League campaign – stating that they deserve to be 22 points clear at the top of the table.**

Pogba, who has suffered from a number of [ankle issues](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/man-utd-news-paul-pogba-injury-solskjaer-press-conference-wolves-a9268666.html) this season which have kept him on the sidelines, spoke candidly to ESPN regarding Liverpool’s dominant title charge – explaining how they already have ‘[one hand](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/manchester-united/story/4059838/man-uniteds-pogba-praises-liverpool-but-we-dont-want-them-to-win-the-title)‘ on the Premier League trophy and how it is fully deserved.

The United star, who is currently linked with a move away from Old Trafford ([Manchester Evening News](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-transfers-paul-pogba-17641772)), has since attracted debate over his comments – with many Red Devils supporters taking to Twitter and discussing the Frenchman’s admission. One supporter, despite the growing rumours of his departure, has even claimed that United should ‘[build the team](https://publish.twitter.com/?query=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2FUtdLew%2Fstatus%2F1232035921266171907&widget=Tweet)‘ around Pogba and Bruno Fernandes, while a number of other supporters have rather different thoughts.

> Swear I’ve got to the stage where I just think he’s leaving then I think he’s staying. We all know he loves United but when a club like us aren’t where we want to be I don’t blame him maybe wanting to leave. Build the team round him and Bruno, then we’re where we should be

> You’re right, but as [#Mufc](https://twitter.com/hashtag/Mufc?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) player tell your agent to stop attacking the club and its manager.
