# Manchester United: Paul Pogba uncertainty surrounding return date attracts criticism from some supporters

**Responding to a report from the [Manchester Evening News](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-news-paul-pogba-17757629?kop) highlighting Paul Pogba’s continued absence to the sidelines, many Red Devils supporters have had enough, going on to insist that the club sell him and lambasting the midfielder.**

Pogba, who has missed three big chances this season ([SofaScore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/paul-pogba/111802)) despite playing limited minutes, is currently continuing his recovery from [niggling ankle injuries](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-news-paul-pogba-17757629?kop) which have kept him out for the majority of the campaign. The Frenchman, who scored [13 goals and assisted nine others](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/97752/History/Paul-Pogba) from midfield over the 2018/19 season in establishing himself as a key player during that time, has had to make do with watching his teammates from the recovery table, with reports indicating that he desires to leave Old Trafford this summer ([Manchester Evening News](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-transfers-paul-pogba-17641772)).

Next to regular midfield favourite Fred, using Pogba’s stats from last season, the Brazilian has amassed a superior [88.2%](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/114397/Show/Fred) pass success rate in the league whilst making more tackles ([2](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/114397/Show/Fred)) – potentially highlighting the fact he is a decent replacement despite his lack of attacking prowess [by comparison](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/32/Show/England-Manchester-United).

As a result, many Red Devils supporters have pleaded with the club to sell on Pogba whilst lambasting the 26-year-old – find all of their best comments from Twitter down below.

> Just sell him on. Lower the value to something realistic and get rid! Use the money to bring in players who want to play for us!
