# Manchester United: Red Devils fans react to Bruno Fernandes’ influence on Scott McTominay

**Manchester United sensation Bruno Fernandes is dishing out advice to academy graduate Scott McTominay, according to a report by [Bleacher Report](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2880601-how-bruno-fernandes-changed-the-culture-of-manchester-united?share=other).**

The Portuguese international has taken McTominay under his wing on the training ground and sources told the outlet Fernandes is keen to help guide the Scotsman in his development as a player.

Since arriving at Old Trafford amid great fanfare in January for £49.5m, Fernandes has really lived up to all expectations, scoring 2 goals and creating 3 assists in just 5 Premier League appearances under club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bruno-fernandes/profil/spieler/240306)).

Clearly his arrival has had a profound effect on McTominay. Solskjaer feels the Scottish youngster has the potential to improve even further and will no doubt be delighted that Fernandes is acting as a mentor on-and-off the pitch.

The 23-year-old has played in 20 games in the English top flight this season, netting 4 goals and providing 1 assist so far ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/scott-mctominay/profil/spieler/315969)).

Fernandes is yet to lose a game in a Red Devils shirt and has helped United to an eleven-game unbeaten run across all competitions.

Unsurprisingly lots of supporters have praised the 25-year-old’s influence on McTominay, with one fan simply stating “what a player.”
