# Manchester United: Red Devils offered Adrien Rabiot

**[Manchester United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/manchester-united-news/) are still thought to be keen on signing Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, [90min](https://www.90min.com/posts/adrien-rabiot-offered-barcelona-premier-league-clubs) report.**

### The Lowdown: Summer links

The Red Devils bolstered their midfield ranks in the summer by bringing in Christian Eriksen and Casemiro, however, they missed out on Rabiot.

Erik ten Hag was [reportedly](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/manchester-united-news/manchester-united-erik-ten-hag-adrien-rabiot-transfer-deal/) onboard with a transfer that would have been worth an initial £15m, but as we know, the France international didn’t make the move to Old Trafford.

It seems as if a move in 2023 could still be on the cards, though, with the midfielder currently preparing for the World Cup Final on Sunday.

### The Latest: Transfer update

[90min](https://www.90min.com/posts/adrien-rabiot-offered-barcelona-premier-league-clubs) shared a transfer update in the last 48 hours regarding Rabiot, where United are once again named.

They claimed that the midfielder has been offered to United, along with a number of Premier League clubs and Barcelona, with Rabiot’s representatives in regular contact with those interested.

### The Verdict: Ideal for Ten Hag?

Ten Hag has [two](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/manchester-united/kader/verein/985) defensive, central and attacking midfield options at this moment in time, so Rabiot, who can play in [two](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adrien-rabiot/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/182913) of those roles, could be a shrewd signing both in the short and long term.

He has plenty of [experience](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adrien-rabiot/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/182913) at the highest level in France and Italy and is still just 27 years of age, highlighting that he still seems to have plenty left in the tank. Once labelled a [‘complete player’](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/man-utd-adrien-rabiot-reviews-27704474) by Andrea Pirlo, Rabiot could also be available on the cheap due to his [contract](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adrien-rabiot/profil/spieler/182913) expiring at the end of the season, so it may be one worth exploring.
