The Serbia international has been with Lazio since [2015](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sergej-milinkovi%C4%87-savi%C4%87/profil/spieler/266302) and has made [290](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sergej-milinkovi%C4%87-savi%C4%87/leistungsdaten/spieler/266302) appearances, scoring [56](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sergej-milinkovi%C4%87-savi%C4%87/leistungsdaten/spieler/266302) times and registering [51](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sergej-milinkovi%C4%87-savi%C4%87/leistungsdaten/spieler/266302) assists.

He is valued at £63m by [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sergej-milinkovi%C4%87-savi%C4%87/profil/spieler/266302) and is under [contract](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sergej-milinkovi%C4%87-savi%C4%87/profil/spieler/266302) for a further two years, but it looks as if a move to Old Trafford could be on the cards under Erik ten Hag.

### The Latest: Man Utd update

[Sports Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/claim-manchester-united-made-e65m-offer-midfielder-agent-delivered-bid-club-chief/) translated a claim from a local Rome-based outlet on Monday which suggested that Manchester United have tabled a €65m (£55m) bid.

The same [site](https://sportwitness.co.uk/agent-set-meeting-manchester-united-big-midfielder-signing-red-devils-pole-position/) has now also shared an update from national Italian outlet [Corriere dello Sport](https://www.corrieredellosport.it/), which suggests that Milinkovic-Savic’s agent is now planning talks with both United and Paris Saint-Germain.

### The Verdict: Pogba replacement?

Paul Pogba looks likely to [leave](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12594356/paul-pogba-likely-to-leave-man-utd-this-summer-with-representatives-in-talks-with-real-madrid-and-juventus) the club over the summer when his contract expires at the end of June, so Milinkovic-Savic could be the perfect replacement for United’s [club-record](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/manchester-united/transferrekorde/verein/985) signing.

He can play in two midfield roles, has plenty of international and European [experience](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sergej-milinkovi%C4%87-savi%C4%87/detaillierteleistungsdaten/spieler/266302) and is seemingly in his prime at the age of 27.

Milinkovic-Savic’s agent, Mateja Kezman, believes the Lazio star actually has [‘better quality than Pogba’](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5454709/Man-United-target-Milinkovic-Savic-better-quality-Pogba.html), so a summer swoop could be a smart move, providing a defensive midfielder arrives as well.
