# Manchester United: These fans think that Marcus Rashford should play as a winger

**Marcus Rashford scored his first goal in exactly one month last night, [opening the scoring in England’s 6-0 thrashing of Bulgaria](https://www.skysports.com/football/bulgaria-vs-england/403384) in Euro 2020 qualifying.**

His last Manchester United goal came on [September 14th](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-rashford/leistungsdaten/spieler/258923) when he [netted from the penalty spot against Leicester](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-rashford/alletore/spieler/258923), with his only other goals this season being [scored against Chelsea](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-rashford/leistungsdaten/spieler/258923) in their Premier League opener in August.

Rashford started on the [left side of a three-man England attack](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1341282/Live/International-European-Championship-2019-Bulgaria-England) in Sofia and took just [seven minutes](https://www.skysports.com/football/bulgaria-vs-england/403384) to get Gareth Southgate’s team off the mark.

He had regularly [played in a wide role under Jose Mourinho](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-rashford/leistungsdatentrainer/spieler/258923/plus/0/verein/985/trainer_id/781) at Old Trafford, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has [predominantly fielded him in a centre-forward role](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-rashford/leistungsdatentrainer/spieler/258923/plus/0/trainer_id/7286/verein/985) over the last few months.
