Amorim delivers cryptic message on Rashford and Antony futures

Man United manager Ruben Amorim has delivered a fairly ambiguous message regarding the futures of Marcus Rashford and Antony.
Speaking ahead of United’s dramatic last gasp draw with Bournemouth on Sunday, the Red Devils boss mentioned that he was impressed with the performances of both players and that their improved form is good for the club.
“All the players on loan will return and then the club will decide what to do at the end of the season,” he said.
“When you put a player on loan the best thing is for them to perform. All these [loan] players have talent and they have to put that on the team.
“The talent of Rashford, the talent of Antony, they all have talent. We are really happy because if you put players on loan you want them to perform. That is good for us.”
These comments have sparked a whirlwind online, with many interpreting these comments as a hint that the players’ good form could fetch large transfer sums to fund a rebuild at United. Other think it is an indication that Amorim is ready to bring them back into the fold at United.
The Express have reported that Rashford in particular could see his fortunes at Old Trafford change, much like Casemiro, who Amorim admitted won him over with his performances.
A man in demand
Marcus Rashford will reportedly miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury, but has impressed during his loan spell at Villa. Whether his four goals and five assists across all competitions is enough to earn him a return to the fold at United or a place toward the front of the shop window is yet to be seen, though.
Should Rashford’s performances serve as a springboard to a big money move, he won’t be short on suitors.
Several top European clubs including Barcelona, PSG, and AC Milan are said to be huge admirers, with the player preferring a move to a Champions League club.
Rashford has starred mainly in the number 9 role at Villa, who have a £40m option to sign the player permanently. They will be amongst the list of long term landing spots provided they finish the season in the Champions League places.
A men reborn
Antony has enjoyed similar success during his loan spell at Real Betis. His eight (four goals, four assists) goal contributions in 13 appearances for the club have caught the eye of many and the Brazilian seems to have found his footing again after a tough spell in England.
Betis are said to be keen on making his deal permanent, and will reportedly face competition from fellow La Liga side Atletico Madrid. United will look to recoup as much of their original £86m investment as possible.
