Manchester United: Fans delighted as Red Devils are close to completing deal with Inter for Alexis Sanchez

Manchester United are close to completing a deal with Inter Milan to sell Alexis Sanchez to pave the way for the Red Devils to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, according to reports.
Recent reports claimed that Man United have reached an agreement with Antonio Conte’s side which will see the Serie A outfit part with £13.5m for the 132-cap Chile international.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, as per @utdreport, Inter will not have to pay a transfer fee to sign Sanchez in the summer. Instead, he will join for free with the Nerazzurri paying his full salary.
Talks are reportedly progressing which will see the former Arsenal forward leave Old Trafford on a free transfer to move to the San Siro on a permanent deal.
Is Alexis Sanchez rubbish?
Yes
No
United’s desire to offload Sanchez this summer has been fuelled by their desire to sign Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s top target Sancho.
If a deal for the Chilean is completed, the iconic number seven shirt made famous by George Best, Eric Cantona and David Beckham will once again become vacant. In a weird twist of fate the England international winger wears the same number for Dortmund in what is surely just a coincidence.
It seems as though the long-running saga is finally coming to an end. Sanchez has turned out to be a complete flop, having only scored five goals in 45 games for the Red Devils, and the board will be glad to have rid themselves of his hefty wages, which are reportedly worth £400,000-a-week at Old Trafford.
Naturally, many United fans gushed over the “great business” on social media, with one supporter describing the news as “unreal”, while another said that it is “amazing”.

So his monstrous wages taken off the wage bill. Amazing stuff. Now we need to spend wisely and fix as many problem areas of the squad.
Thiago is available for £27m
Buendia is available for £20m

Telles/Grimaldo/Tagliafico for £30m and we are good for now— Paul Coleman (@AltirV) August 3, 2020

Great Business @ManUtd 👏
Finally getting the hang of cutting the wage bills.— United_Round (@UnitedRoundMUFC) August 3, 2020
Absolutely fine with this because the club aren’t subsidising any of his wages. His wages are completely gone from the club’s books.

I’m totally happy with this tbh. The amount of money that we’ve saved on his wages is immense. Fact that we aren’t subsidising any of his wages that he’s completely off our books now is what we’ve wanted to hear for a long time. Now time to bring Sancho in our new number 7
