Manchester United: Fans laud Alex Telles links as talks with Porto intensify

Many Manchester United fans have welcomed a transfer link to Alex Telles as A Bola have reported that talks have intensified between Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team and FC Porto.
However, according to the Portuguese outlet, the Red Devils may face competition from Europa League winners Sevilla, who knocked them out of the 2019/20 tournament with a 2-1 win in the semi-finals and then went on to beat Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan 3-2 in the final.
Nonetheless, representatives of Telles, whose current deal in Portugal ends in June 2021, are reportedly in Manchester in order to finalise a transfer.
The £36m-valued ace enjoyed a fine season with Porto last term, scoring a quite staggering 13 goals and adding a further 12 assists in 49 games in all competitions from left-back, as per Transfermarkt.
Telles would arguably be an upgrade on both Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams at full-back, as the Brazilian international averaged more interceptions, shots, key passes, crosses and long balls per match in their respective domestic leagues in the last season (via Whoscored).
