Manchester United have bolstered their midfield with the additions of Bruno Fernandes last January and Donny van de Beek this summer, and this means that some midfielders might find it hard to get game-time.
This is especially true in the case of some younger players, with reports suggesting that one academy prospect will be heading out on loan this season.
According to the PA news agency, via SportsMole, midfielder James Garner looks certain to temporarily leave the club in this transfer window in pursuit of consistent game-time. The 19-year-old is attracting interest from a host of Championship sides and he is looking to prove himself at that level.
The Englishman has made 73 appearances for the club, with seven of these coming at senior level whilst the rest have been in the youth setup, per Transfermarkt, and he has managed 15 goals and six assists in a Red Devils shirt so far.
It will be hard for him to get into the United squad right now with the abundance of midfield talent and spending and therefore a loan move should benefit both the player and United, as he would get some great experience and the Red Devils can see how he performs playing consistent senior football.
It also shows how much the club rate the player that they are not willing to sell him and supporters may be excited if Garner can fulfil the faith that the club appear to have in him.
Man United fans, would you be in favour of a loan move for Garner this season? Comment below with your views!
