Manchester United are looking to bolster their attack this summer and have their eyes on Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.

The 31-year-old, who is currently on loan with Bayern Munich, has drawn attention from the Reds as well as Premier League rivals Tottenham, according to Fussball Transfers (via Sportslens).

Perisic reportedly wants to make a permanent move to the Bundesliga, but Bayern aren't looking to spend more than €10m (£8.9m) on him. This could be an issue as Inter aren't budging on their €15m (£13.3m) asking price.

The Croatia international has been a stalwart for his country, earning 88 caps and netting 26 goals in that time. He was an influential part of the side that reached the 2018 World Cup final. Perisic has also accumulated 122 career goals and 92 assists, which highlights his clinical nature on the wing (via Transfermarkt).

United have managed to pick themselves up and dust off the cobwebs this season, accelerating towards a potential top four finish. If they can secure Champions League football next season, a proven veteran of the game like Perisic could help assist their mission of re-establishing themselves in Europe.

Despite being 31, there's a lot of life still left in the Croatian and a move to a league as big as England's top flight could be the fresh challenge he needs to see out his career in style.

Man United's only senior left winger is 22-year-old Dan James, who has been almost ever-present in the Premier League this season but has been left out of several cup matches (via Transfermarkt). Having a prolific figure occupying the same position could spark some friendly competition between the two wingers.

It's likely that James could learn a lot from Perisic, who is nine years his senior. So far, the Wales international has scored four goals and assisted seven in 37 senior United appearances.

The addition of a playmaker like the Croatian could be a huge asset to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side - and for a fraction of the price the club are looking to spend on Jadon Sancho.
