Man United: Fans react to Louis Saha’s tweet about Edinson Cavani
Many Manchester United fans have reacted to a tweet from Louis Saha over the potential arrival of Edinson Cavani on a free transfer.
The 33-year-old Uruguayan striker became a free agent earlier this summer after departing Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain after a seven-year spell in France. The 116-cap international netted an impressive 200 goals in 301 games for PSG and it now looks increasingly likely that he is on his way to join Manchester United, with a report from talkSPORT initially linking him with a move to Old Trafford.
With deadline day fast approaching, it now appears that the deal for Cavani to join the Red Devils is gathering pace, with Fabrizio Romano claiming via Twitter that a medical will be completed on Sunday and that an agreement over contract terms is moving forward.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has struggled to bring in players this summer during the transfer window, making a move for just Donny van de Beek, with Cavani potentially being just their second signing in this window.
Former United striker Saha is impressed with the rumoured move for the Uruguay marksman, taking to his official Twitter account to reveal his excitement.
