Manchester United will reportedly allow Chris Smalling to leave and then look for a replacement centre-back, and this has seen them linked with Sevilla defender Diego Carlos.
According to Marca, via Sport Witness, the Red Devils are considering a move for the centre-back, but face a lot of competition as fellow Premier League sides Liverpool and Manchester City are also interested. No team has made an offer yet.
The 27 year-old Brazilian has been at Sevilla for a season and made 45 appearances in all competitions, scoring two and assisting one, per Transfermarkt, whilst also keeping 21 clean sheets.
He has also been good at breaking up attacks as he has managed on average one tackle, one interception and 4.6 clearances per game, via WhoScored.
The player would come with a strong winning mentality too as he won the Europa League with Sevilla last season and he definitely looks like he could be a good acquisition for the club. The fact that Liverpool and City are both interested highlights that he definitely looks to be a good player and with Eric Bailly very injury prone, it would be good to bring another centre-back to the side.
