Manchester United: Fans buzz as Rui Pedro Braz claims FC Porto ace Alex Telles will sign
Many Manchester United fans have been left buzzing as football journalist Rui Pedro Braz has made a rather bold claim on the future of FC Porto ace Alex Telles.
Speaking on TVI24, Braz claimed: “I think Alex Telles is going to be a Manchester United player.”
Indeed, this will give a lot of Man Utd supporters hope and encouragement going into the final week of the summer transfer window before teams from England can no longer do business with foreign clubs.
The Brazilian international enjoyed a fine term in Portugal in the 2019/20 season, scoring a rather impressive 13 goals and supplying a further 12 assists in 49 matches over all competitions from left-back, according to Transfermarkt.
Telles would arguably be an upgrade on both Brandon Williams and Luke Shaw at full-back, as the 27-year old averaged more interceptions, shots, key passes, crosses and long balls per game in their respective domestic leagues in the last campaign, as per Whoscored.
