Manchester United: Fans react to confirmed arrival of Alex Telles
A number of Manchester United fans have reacted to the confirmation that the Red Devils have secured the signing of Alex Telles from FC Porto.
United have been linked with the Brazilian throughout the transfer window as they look to improve their options down the left-hand side of their defence, and they eventually managed to make a breakthrough on Sunday evening, agreeing a £13.6 million deal plus £1.8 million in add-ons for the full-back, according to BBC Sport.
The Red Devils have lacked a player with the ability to create chances and get forwards in support of attacks down the left-hand side of the field, and that is something which Telles will be able to bring to the table for United. The 27-year-old was one of Europe’s best attacking full-backs last term, registering an impressive tally of 13 goals and 12 assists, as per Transfermarkt.
In a window which has seen the club be frustrated in their attempts to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, they have at least managed to secure the addition of Telles, who will strengthen their full-back options.
Some United fans revealed they are pleased to see the club finally add a quality defender to their squad, while others also exressed their frustrations that there have not been many more signings of the same calibre this window…
