**Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof wasn’t involved during his side’s [4-0 hammering of AZ Alkmaar](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6e50Dfm3f0g&feature=onebox) in the Europa League, watching on from the sidelines as teammate Mason Greenwood sent a message to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – but the Swede just had to tweet about his brilliant performance.**

The Red Devils stormed to a resounding victory inside ten second-half minutes, with a brace from Greenwood, Ashley Young’s strike and Juan Mata’s penalty ensuring they finished [top of Group L](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/europa-league/table) in style and cruised through to the knockout phase.

Of course, the 18-year-old academy striker [made all the headlines](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50749720) after their brilliant win, especially after fans had been calling for him to [start more regularly](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/10301350/manchester-united-fans-demand-greenwood-starts-every-game/) in the Premier League.
