[![Carlos Vela](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Carlos-Vela1-500x304.jpg)](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Carlos-Vela1.jpg)Arsenal fans in The Football Transfer Tavern are discussing old players that could potentially move back to North London.

But [Sky Sports](https://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9345281/transfer-news-real-sociedad-insist-carlos-vela-does-not-want-to-return-to-arsenal) are reporting that former Arsenal forward Carlos Vela is not interested in returning to the club this summer.

It had been thought that Arsenal were ready to activate a release clause that would see him move from La Liga side Real Sociedad back to the Emirates next season

The North London club still own 50% of the Mexican’s rights but it’s thought that Vela has no intention of returning to England.

Club president Jokin Apperibay has openly admitted that Wenger’s representatives have been in touch regarding a return to London.

But he insists the forward, who scored 16 goals last summer, is happy where he is.

### Arsenal fans: Are you disappointed that Vela isn’t interested in an Arsenal reunion or is he not good enough for your club? Let us know your thoughts below.
