# Everton: Fans slam Michael Keane’s derby display

**Many Everton fans have been slamming the performance of Michael Keane in their 4-1 loss at home to Liverpool in the Premier League on Wednesday night.**

The former Burnley defender endured a nightmare at Goodison Park against the Reds, as goals from Jordan Henderson, Diogo Jota and a Mo Salah brace were more than enough to give Jurgen Klopp’s team all three points, after Demarai Gray had got the hosts back into the game at 2-1 shortly before half-time.

Keane was simply given no time on the ball at all, as he managed a mere 58% passing accuracy throughout the match, among the lowest out of his teammates, and was guilty of giving possession away 14 times ([SofaScore](https://www.sofascore.com/everton-liverpool/UsY)).

Nonetheless, by conceding four goals at home against his team’s arch-rivals, the Everton man was always going to be subject to criticism.

These Blues supporters slammed Keane’s performance on Twitter, with one going as far as to claim that he was an ’embarrassment’ in this Merseyside derby:
