# Tottenham Hotspur: Milan Skriniar says ‘yes’ to Spurs as Inter Milan negotiations continue

**According to reports by both Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport, via [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/club-waiting-spurs-offer-next-hours-player-already-said-yes-london-move/), a crucial development has emerged as Tottenham chase the signing of Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan, with a conference call deemed sufficient to complete negotiations after the player agreed to a Spurs move.**

After completing a sensational double swoop for Real Madrid duo [Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54220882), Tottenham don’t appear to be finished in the transfer market and are intent on snapping up a new defender as well as a forward.

Indeed, as [per numerous reports,](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/transfer-news/habib-diallo-mourinho-transfer-bale-18884198) these two positions are seen as key roles to fill before the heavily congested 2020/21 Premier League season continues, and negotiations for Skriniar have been underway [since this time last week](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1308515248652144640).

Now, as per these Italian news outlets, the 6 ft 2 Slovakia star has agreed to a Tottenham move after saying yes, leaving both the Lilywhites and Inter to decide over a fee.

The Serie A giants reportedly value Skriniar at [£45.4m](https://sportwitness.co.uk/club-waiting-spurs-offer-next-hours-player-already-said-yes-london-move/), with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy apparently unwilling to go that high, but this Sport Witness relay believes that there may well be middle ground in a [£36m bid](https://sportwitness.co.uk/club-waiting-spurs-offer-next-hours-player-already-said-yes-london-move/) plus any bonuses.

It is claimed that an offer around this figure could force Inter to seriously consider selling; and with the player’s approval over a move reportedly known, it could help to ease transfer negotiations with a done deal potentially only a matter of time.

This update could be music to the ears of Spurs supporters who are eager to see the club’s [sixth summer signing](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tottenham-hotspur/transfers/verein/148/saison_id/2020), with the last week of the transfer window now looking very interesting.
