# Everton: Yerry Mina offered to clubs for free

**[Everton](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/everton-fc-news/) central defender Yerry Mina has reportedly been offered to as many as four clubs on a free transfer in 2023.**

### The Lowdown: Highest earner

Currently on £120,000-per-week at Goodison Park, Mina cost the Blues [over £25m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/yerry-mina/profil/spieler/289446) is the club’s highest earner ([FBRef](https://fbref.com/en/squads/d3fd31cc/2022-2023/wages/Everton-Wage-Details)), but has barely featured at all so far this season.

The 28-year-old has been limited to just [70](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/yerry-mina/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/289446/plus/0?saison=2022&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) minutes of Premier League football because of injury, and has suffered from constant [injury problems](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/yerry-mina/verletzungen/spieler/289446) throughout his career on Merseyside.

### The Latest: Offered around

As per [Torcedores.com](https://www.torcedores.com/noticias/2022/10/em-fim-de-contrato-no-everton-ex-zagueiro-do-palmeiras-e-oferecido-ao-atletico-mg), Mina has been offered to four clubs for free at the end of the season, once his contract with Frank Lampard’s side [expires](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/yerry-mina/profil/spieler/289446).

Atletico-MG, Boca Juniors, Club America and LA Galaxy have all been offered the chance to sign him, and could agree a pre-contract in the January transfer window.

### The Verdict: Get rid

Given his lack of game time in compared to what he earns, the Toffees simply need to get rid of Mina, even if it means not getting a transfer fee for him.

The Colombia international is too injury-prone, and the club bought in both Conor Coady and James Tarkowski in order to cover his absence.

The pair have formed a solid partnership, as the Blues have conceded just [12](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) goals in the top flight this term, the joint-sixth best defensive record.

Nonetheless, they also have the likes of Mason Holgate and Michael Keane as cover, so Mina would not really be missed.
