# ‘Minor miracle’ – Liverpool fans on Twitter still can’t believe big money transfer business

**The Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern couldn’t quite believe what they were watching last night. Indeed, while seeing bitter rivals Manchester United win can never be a good thing for our resident Reds, many of those propping up our bar were praising some old transfer business conducted by the club as Crystal Palace crumbled against Jose Mourinho’s men, despite going 0-2 up.**

That’s because Christian Benteke looked awful. The Belgian spent an unhappy year at Anfield after a big money move from Aston Villa, though the Kop giants were somehow able to recoup some of the big fee they splashed out on him when the Eagles came calling in the summer of 2016. With Jurgen Klopp’s current attack looking devastating, our resident Reds couldn’t help but laugh at his performance last night.

With that in mind, here’s a look at some of the reaction online as Liverpool fans delivered their verdict on Benteke’s Crystal Palace performance.
