**Jose Mourinho’s name is talked about often and loudly in the Transfer Tavern and the sensational developments at Old Trafford yesterday only intensified debate amongst our punters.**

Such is the nature of the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’, his rather confrontational approach to management will no doubt spark the lowly lit embers at the Theatre of Dreams into all raging hell-fire fury.

Acceptance of mediocrity was a sewing motif amongst the largely miserable two years Louis van Gaal steered the ship, though surely that will change with the 53-year old at the helm.

In typically abrasive fashion, [reports](https://www.sport-english.com/en/news/liga-bbva/jose-mourinho-ready-wage-war-real-madrid-5152152) emanating out of Spain suggest he is already looking to wage a major transfer war with former charges Real Madrid over the course of his maiden summer in charge.

The Portuguese departed *Los Blancos* back in 2013 under acrimonious circumstances, and while there some was some [talk](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/real-madrid-make-fresh-jose-7709431) of him returning prior to the appointment of Zinedine Zidane, remains an utterly divisive figure in the Spanish capital.

Now, according to *[Sport](https://www.sport-english.com/en/news/liga-bbva/jose-mourinho-ready-wage-war-real-madrid-5152152),* the former Inter Milan and Chelsea coach is ready to go to war with the La Liga juggernauts over a number of illustrious names.

He will [reportedly](https://www.sport-english.com/en/news/liga-bbva/jose-mourinho-ready-wage-war-real-madrid-5152152) block all attempts from the Santiago Bernabeu to land superstar stopper David De Gea this summer, with the *La Roja* international being strongly linked with the club for much of the past 18 months.

Not only that, but he will also [apparently](https://www.sport-english.com/en/news/liga-bbva/jose-mourinho-ready-wage-war-real-madrid-5152152) make massive moves to land the likes of James Rodriguez, Isco and Raphael Varane as he plots his Red Devil revolution.
