# Mourinho’s thoughts on potential Old Trafford exit revealed in surprise transfer report

**With Manchester United constantly spending big money, it’s not often you’ll find the punters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern fretting over a player potentially leaving the club.**

Indeed, it seems the only club that can scare our resident Red Devils when it comes to nabbing players from them is a certain Real Madrid, who have been [strongly linked](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/07/13/manchester-united-braced-david-de-gea-bid-real-madrid/) with a move for star stopper, David De Gea.

Now, according to Spanish outlet *[Diario Gol](https://www.diariogol.com/real-madrid/zidane-pasa-cuatro-nuevos-fichajes-a-florentino-perez-como-alternativa-a-mbappe_500808_102.html),* the Champions League-winners are keen on ANOTHER Old Trafford star. They [claim](https://www.diariogol.com/real-madrid/zidane-pasa-cuatro-nuevos-fichajes-a-florentino-perez-como-alternativa-a-mbappe_500808_102.html) Zinedine Zidane has a four-man shortlist to replace Alvaro Morata, who recently joined Chelsea in a club-record deal.

[Reportedly](https://www.diariogol.com/real-madrid/zidane-pasa-cuatro-nuevos-fichajes-a-florentino-perez-como-alternativa-a-mbappe_500808_102.html) on that list is United youngster Marcus Rashford. One of the most exciting talents in Europe, he’s a popular figure in the Tavern, having enjoyed a meteoric rise from the club’s academy to a first-team star.

The England international is dubiously [said](https://www.diariogol.com/real-madrid/zidane-pasa-cuatro-nuevos-fichajes-a-florentino-perez-como-alternativa-a-mbappe_500808_102.html) to be rated at just [€18m](https://www.diariogol.com/real-madrid/zidane-pasa-cuatro-nuevos-fichajes-a-florentino-perez-como-alternativa-a-mbappe_500808_102.html) within the report and is [apparently](https://www.diariogol.com/real-madrid/zidane-pasa-cuatro-nuevos-fichajes-a-florentino-perez-como-alternativa-a-mbappe_500808_102.html) just one of the names under consideration in the Spanish capital. Kylian Mbappe is [believed](https://www.diariogol.com/real-madrid/zidane-pasa-cuatro-nuevos-fichajes-a-florentino-perez-como-alternativa-a-mbappe_500808_102.html) to be the number one target, though if he proves too expensive, the likes of Rashford, Timo Werner, Kasper Dolberg and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are [said](https://www.diariogol.com/real-madrid/zidane-pasa-cuatro-nuevos-fichajes-a-florentino-perez-como-alternativa-a-mbappe_500808_102.html) to be options.

Still, the report does [state](https://www.diariogol.com/real-madrid/zidane-pasa-cuatro-nuevos-fichajes-a-florentino-perez-como-alternativa-a-mbappe_500808_102.html) that Jose Mourinho will not let the 19-year-old depart, much to the delight of our United-mad punters.

**Thoughts?**
