# Newcastle United: Magpies ready to make substantial offer for former Arsenal ace Aaron Ramsey

**Newcastle United are reportedly ready to make a substantial offer for Aaron Ramsey, according to [Tutto Juve](https://www.tuttojuve.com/esclusive-tj/tj-maxi-offerta-per-ramsey-525571).**

As per the outlet, the Tyneside club would apparently offer him the same deal as his current one at Juventus, with rich bonuses as well as a €20m transfer fee, which is the equivalent of around £18m.

Ramsey endured quite a frustrating debut season with the Italian giants, having played in a total of 35 games in all competitions in the 2019/20 campaign but completing the full 90 minutes in just one of those matches (via [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aaron-ramsey/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/50057/plus/0?saison=2019&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)).

Indeed, Andrea Pirlo’s team may look to cash in on the Welsh international after just one year, and the opportunity of a nice profit on the man that they signed from Arsenal on a [free](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aaron-ramsey/transfers/spieler/50057) transfer last summer may be too much to turn down.

A deal may work for all parties involved. Ramsey has considerable pedigree in English football, having scored a relatively impressive 64 goals and contributed a further 65 assists in 369 appearances for the Gunners across 11 consecutive seasons, mainly operating from the middle of the pitch (per [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aaron-ramsey/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/50057/plus/0?saison=&verein=11&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)).

The central midfielder also won three FA Cups during his time in north London, as well as two Community Shield trophies, as per [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aaron-ramsey/erfolge/spieler/50057).

At 29 years of age as well, Ramsey arguably still has legs left in him and it may be a good time for Steve Bruce to pounce on his services, providing that they can get his signature over the dotted line.
